New Poem - Untitled #461

untitled #461

colorless, a quiet rustle of leaves
night heavier than grief
so little known between breaths

I used to pray, kneeling
now the trees answer all queries
mourning is so little comfort

I hated her, fresh from the womb
never wanted this body, this breath
making meaning in shadows

embracing this foreign flesh
