Free Will: Happiness and the Foundations of Morality

Bloggingheads.tv has a nice discussion on Free Will: Happiness and the Foundations of Morality, featuring interviewer Will Wilkinson of The Cato Institute, and author of The Fly Bottle; and interviewee Jonathan Haidt of the University of Virginia, and author of The Happiness Hypothesis.

I couldn't snag the video, so you'll have to go to the site to watch it.

Not sure I agree with Haidt on all his points, but the discussion creates a lot of food for thought. He tends to reject a lot of what we know on morality from
Jean Piaget, Lawrence Kohlberg, Carol Gilligan, and others. Check out his home page for more information.

[NOTE: Haidt is more conservative than not, so that biases his research and outlook.]
